Back in the Noise

Pink Paradox five band members posing with their tongue out and doing satan horns gestures with their hands in their music studio recording booth

Rosa here. Thought it was time to give you a peek behind the curtain, or in our case, behind the thick soundproof doors of our Barcelona music studio. We've been quiet lately (well, online, at least), but that’s only because we’ve been screaming our guts out in the booth since November.

Since the start of winter, the five of us have basically been living between the studio and our shared apartment. Long nights, warm coffee, and cold takes we had to redo over and over (shout out to Olivia who broke a kick pedal... again). We’re been building something way bigger and more intense for this upcoming second album compared to what we wrapped with our debut album Broken Dolls. And honestly? It got personal. Like... real personal.

Some of the songs were born out of complete madness. One of them started with Clara randomly playing this eerie little violin loop while we were half asleep at 2AM — and it ended up becoming the spine of one of the most brutal tracks on the album. Lisa wrote her heaviest riffs while sitting on the floor with a sketchbook open, muttering to herself in French. Alessia barely said ten words some days, but her bass parts hit so hard we just shut up and let her work. And I wrote one of my verses while growling on the studio bathroom floor.

We also had our weird moments. Olivia rode her bike through the studio parking lot in fishnets blasting Slipknot. Clara brought in this creepy broken porcelain doll to “set the mood” (she swears it's not cursed). And we kept forgetting to order actual food, so we basically survived on instant ramen and dark chocolate for days.

Also… little Shadow (my black cat, if you're new here) has been the unofficial studio goblin. Every time we tried to record soft violin parts, he would somehow know and knock over a mic stand or sit right on Clara’s sheet music. We love him. He’s the sixth member now. Expect to hear a faint meow somewhere in the background — we gave up fighting it.

We took some photos along the way — you’ll see more of it soon. But for now, here’s a few shots of us in the middle of it all. Exhausted. Messy. But 100% in it.

We’re not ready to tell you the album name just yet, but trust me… It’s gonna be loud! In the meantime, there’s more coming. A lot more. So, stay close!
