La Llorona, our new single featuring Elvira Metal Band, is a metalcore ghost story sung by Rosa and Sofia Ekström. It mixes heavy riffs and Clara’s violin with Elvira’s gothic metal atmosphere, and the chorus is in Spanish. The song tells the story of La Llorona, a mother who drowned her children and now haunts the living looking for them, without remembering what she did. We worked with Sofia to make the video like a gothic horror film, going back and forth between the two bands playing and La Llorona’s story. We wanted La Llorona to be as heavy as she is sad, and we’ve never worked this hard to get a song right.
