Fight for their Rights
Video after video, we saw it: ICE agents storming in, families torn apart, people treated like they weren’t even human. Called “aliens”, like they don’t have names, stories, children waiting at home, like they’re not mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters who built lives in the USA, hoping for safety, for a normal life. That word, that cold, dehumanizing “aliens” label, it hit us in the chest every single time.
This isn’t abstract politics. This is real pain unfolding right now under policies that look the other way while people are hunted and broken. We felt the rage rise up! The kind of rage that says, “How can this be happening? How can anyone look at another human being and decide they don’t count?”
So we did the only thing we know how to do. We poured every bit of that helplessness and fury into our last track, America. The heavy riffs, the pounding drums, the vocals cracking between melody and raw scream, it’s all there because we needed to let it out. We needed to say no, fuck you, to them, the fascists. We’re not looking away, and we won’t stay silent.
But a song by itself isn’t enough. Rage without action just echoes and fades. That’s why we’re sharing this with you today. If you’re feeling what we’re feeling, here are american organizations on the front lines, focused on legal aid, accountability, and getting people the help they need right now. Every donation goes straight to bond funds, lawyers, crisis support, fighting for basic human rights, and against police brutality.

If you can give even a little, it matters. But we know so many are already carrying heavy loads, and opening your wallet right now might feel impossible. That doesn’t make your care any smaller. What matters is showing up however you can, because every single person targeted by these raids and policies is still a human being with a name, a family, and a right to be seen.
You can give your time. Organizations like RAICES have real volunteer openings, from phone banking to elected officials, translation help for families navigating hearings, to remote support that fits around your schedule. This volunteering work directly reaches people who feel forgotten. Volunteer with RAICES here: https://raicestexas.org/volunteer
You can answer the phone for someone locked inside an ICE facility. Freedom for Immigrants runs the National Immigration Detention Hotline, and they’re always looking for volunteers to listen, document conditions, and connect callers to immediate help. A two-hour shift can mean the difference between isolation and someone knowing they’re not alone. Join their hotline team here: https://www.freedomforimmigrants.org/volunteer
You can protect people by spreading knowledge. Make sure the communities around you have clear, simple information about their rights during ICE encounters or police stops. The ACLU’s free Know Your Rights resources have been used by thousands to stay safer in moments of fear. Print them, share them, post them. Download and share the ACLU Immigrants’ Rights guide here: https://www.aclu.org/know-your-rights/immigrants-rights
And you can speak up where decisions are made. A short message to your representatives telling them these raids and family separations are wrong takes only minutes, but when enough of us do it, it moves the needle. The ACLU makes it simple to send that message straight to Congress. Take action right now through the ACLU here: https://www.aclu.org/action
Share this post, educate yourself, show up for those who are under attack by fascists. We’re not powerless! Let’s all move forward together, united.
Tell us in the comments if you know of other organizations that offer their support to those who need it.
Thank you for listening, thank you for caring.
